Technology Checklist Published to Assist Meeting Planners Measure Meeting
Room and Guest Room Technology Utilization
"BELLINGHAM, WA & QUEENS, NY 14 September 2011 –
Two meetings technology analysts, Jim Spellos and Corbin Ball, CMP,
CSP have joined forces to publish TechSpec, a set of two site-inspection
checklists designed to help meeting planners measure and gauge technology
during a hotel site inspection. The “TechSpec Full Version” measures
meeting space, guest rooms and the lobby while the “TechSpec Guest Room
Version” covers the guest rooms and lobby only.
The checklist scoring has been weighted to reflect a priority
of the current technology needs of meeting planners and guest and is
designed to help planners compare properties for technology utilization in
an easy manner. It is also hoped that hoteliers will use this guide to
measure their properties as well. This project is a work in progress and
